[Seminar Invitation] How to Expand Business into Digital Space by Mobile Apps and Social Media

How to Expand Business into Digital Space by Mobile Apps and Social Media

SoLoMo (Social, Local, Mobile) apps have been the most exciting change agent for businesses in the recent years. Traditional industries are facing serious challenges from newcomers utilizing new technologies. The markets will definitely become more competitive in the near future. As the number of mobile users surpasses the number of desktop users, we expect the digital consumption pattern to migrate from “mobile-first” to “mobile-only”. The new generation will do online shopping anytime and anywhere with their mobile devices. How should business leaders tackle the resulting challenges & opportunities?

The Chamber has invited Benny Chan, Founder of SillyCube Technology Ltd, to share with members his insights of mobile marketing. Presentation will include:
– Introduction of the latest Mobile Tech Trend (AR, QR code, Indoor positioning, internal business app);
– introduction of the most popular social media (Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, SnapChat); and
– practical case sharing of business expansion with mobile apps.

Mr Chan graduated from HKUST with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. In 2009, he co-founded the mobile app and web development company, SillyCube Technology Ltd. He was interviewed by HKET, TVB, HKGCC for his professional knowledge and startup experiences. The SillyCube brand mobile apps have achieved more than 3 million downloads on Google Play. In 2010, the company was approved by the Hong Kong Science Park to join the Incu-Tech Programme.
